Concord Grapes
“Why you can’t usually find Concord grapes in the grocery store”, is the title of an article published by TastingTable.com. It’s an interesting read that gives several reasons why.
- Concord Grapes are almost exclusively grown (on a large scale) in New York and New England.
- They don’t transport well due to their thin and delicate skins.
- The growing season is short.
Due to our physical location, we can offer these seasonal beauties to our customers.
Beginning next week, we will have quarts of what we’re calling ‘Fancy Grapes’. These will be included in next week’s Fruit Boxes and available to purchase a la carte in an 8-quart basket.
The following week we anticipate having half-bushel boxes available. If you are looking for Concord grapes to make grape juice, the half-bushel boxes are what you will want.
Apple Cider
Weaver’s Orchard has begun offering their fresh, cold-pressed apple cider!
We have pints and half gallons available.
