The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The Holiday Season…

…is coming in hot!

Today, my oldest son is coming home from school…for the holidays. He’s been gone since August and when I finish this blog, I’ll be racing home to greet him. It’s just one more thing that makes this holiday season all the more wonderful. Maybe this ‘season’ is not the most wonderful time of the year for you. I don’t have a secret formula to fix that for you. I would say, count your blessings. As we roll into Thanksgiving next week, it is a perfect time to reflect and well…be thankful.

The Hens

The picture of our pastured hens above was taken last evening. Last Friday night, we spent nearly three hours catching the hens and moving them into the barn for the winter. They will spend the winter months inside, where we can have some control over the temperature. This week, we had a shortage of eggs. With the stress of the move, egg production was down significantly for about three days. However, over the past few days, they seem to be acclimating well and egg production is back up again.

Large Farm Shares

The Large Farm Shares have ended for the winter. They will be back again.

IF you had a Large Farm Share set up as a Standing Order, it will automatically be changed to a Regular Farm Share.

Again, Large Farm Shares are a bushel size box of 8-9 items and the Regular Farm Share is 5 items in a half bushel box.
