Philly Fair Trade Roasters began in Philadelphia as you may have guessed. In 2023, the company was purchased by a few Lancaster County residents. The roasting location was moved to Adamstown, PA…just a few short miles from the Doorstep Dairy warehouse. The owner of Doorstep Dairy (me) and the new owners of Philly Fair Trade Roasters…are first cousins, so naturally we had an interest in giving this partnership a go.
All the coffee that we offer from PFTR, is organic and fair trade. It is also fresh-roasted. When I say fresh roasted…I’m not joking. Given the proximity of our warehouse and the roasting location…we will be getting fresh coffee every week. The coffee will not be bought in bulk and sit in inventory until you place an order. All PFTR coffee will be roasted to order.
Order by noon on Friday, the beans will be roasted on Monday and delivered the same week…right to your doorstep!
Even if you can’t use 12oz. in one week…the coffee will be in resealable bags that will keep your beans fresh for weeks.
So go ahead a give it a try. All coffee varieties are available in Whole Bean or Ground for a drip coffee maker.
